Dear Friends,
While the holiday season is upon us, the work of representing you continues. My team and I are eager to tackle the challenges and opportunities of the upcoming legislative session. We’re committed to delivering results for our community.
Our Commonwealth is not just a great place to live, but a thriving hub of innovation, diversity, and opportunity. Together, let’s work to keep it that way! This Thanksgiving, whether you’re sharing a meal, volunteering, or simply checking in on a neighbor, let’s make this holiday a time to strengthen our bonds and uplift those around us.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with your thoughts and feedback, after perusing our report.
Virginia Elections
As you may know, Virginia has elections EVERY year. As a result of the recent national election, Loudoun will also have Special Elections. Read below for a brief analysis of the 2024 election, as well as information about the upcoming 2025 elections.
The results of national election on November 5th showed that in House District 27, which I serve, Vice President Harris earned 57.61% of the vote to President-Elect Trump’s 37.76%. In Loudoun, Harris won 56.3% and Trump won 40.1% of the vote. And, in Virginia as a whole, 51.8% voted for Harris and 46.1% voted for Trump.
These results indicate to me that Loudoun’s current state and local elected officials, who hold a Democratic majority, are serving you well. Clearly, our excellent school rankings, safe and affordable communities, economic opportunity, and the protection of our fundamental freedoms, remain top-of-mind. I will continue to champion legislation that addresses these concerns. To see what I passed last year, click here.
Moreover, during the next four years, it will fall to state and local government to stand against any potential extremism nationally while continuing to focus on the issues we all discuss when sitting around our kitchen tables. The House of Delegates’ races in November of 2025 alongside the election of a Governor who will stand for our shared priorities will be key, and I look forward to your partnership in achieving this goal.
January 7th Special Election
With Congressman-Elect Suhas Subramanyam heading to the House of Representatives, his seat in the State Senate will be filled in a special election on January 7th. Senate District 32 overlaps slightly more than half of the House District I serve, so many of you are eligible to vote in that election.
Last week my colleague Delegate Kannan Srinivasan, an effective and thoughtful advocate for Eastern Loudoun, became the Democratic nominee. You can read more about him here. Please make sure that you have a voting plan, as we need advocates like Delegate Srinivasan in the State Senate to legislate for working families.
The 2025 Legislative Session
The 2025 Legislative Session begins on January 8th! I am so excited to head back to Richmond to continue working for this district. Please reach out to me with your policy concerns and make sure to stop by my office in the General Assembly Building if you’re in Richmond. I would love to sit down with you and discuss the issues that you care about during this session! You can let us know when you are coming by emailing my staff at: DelAReaser@house.virginia.gov

ICYMI
Delegate Reaser is on Bluesky social!
I’m happy to announce that I am now on Bluesky! I am committed to reaching as many residents of the 27th district as possible and love the opportunity to engage in conversations about the most important issues facing our community. Follow me here:
Honoring Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton’s Life in Public Service
Friends, family and constituents came together to honor Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton and her contributions to both the country and our local community. Congresswoman Wexton began her career as a prosecutor before her election to the State Senate. In 2018 she flipped VA-10, a house district that had been held by Republicans for 36 years. During her time in the house she has been a champion for Loudoun and Virginia, working with both sides of the aisle to deliver commonsense policy solutions for Virginia families. While she sadly is retiring due to her diagnosis of progressive supranuclear palsy, her legacy of service and a commitment to constituents are an example for every legislator. Even as she finishes a storied career in public service, she continues to advocate for her district and stand up for our freedoms.

MOVE Chamber of Commerce
The MOVE Chamber of Commerce had their inaugural conference focused on empowering local businesses, providing a rare opportunity to talk with policy and business leaders in one place.

How My Office Can Help You
Navigating state agencies can be confusing and difficult at times. As your delegate, I can help you communicate with state agencies such as the Virginia Employment Commission (VEC), Departments of Taxation, Social Services, Transportation, and more! I can also submit inquiries with those agencies on your behalf and help you engage with the state agency you need. There are limits to what I can do, however. For example, I am unable to expedite cases or force state agencies to favor your inquiry, provide legal advice or recommend a specific attorney, intervene with judicial issues, overturn decisions, or be involved with matters involving private businesses.
Whether you want to bring an issue to my attention, need my office’s assistance, or want to invite me to a community event, please reach out! If there is any way I can assist you, please let me know here: https://atoosareaser.com/help/.
Come Visit Me In Richmond!
If you or your group are coming to Richmond to speak to legislators, see the floor session, or stop in for a day trip, come by my office! My staff and I would enjoy speaking with you about ideas for improving our community and addressing concerns facing our region!
With session resuming this week, the best ways to get in contact with my office is through the district email (DelAReaser@house.virginia.gov) and the phone number for the Richmond office ((804) 698-1027).
Yours in Service,

Atoosa Reaser (she/her)
