After returning from a trip last week to speak to a national audience about my experience as a legislator, I’m glad to be back and reconnecting with my district and you. In this edition of our weekly newsletter, you’ll find key updates, community news, and what to expect in the weeks ahead—resources to keep you informed and engaged in our shared progress.
There are ample opportunities to lend your voice and get involved, too — it’s how we make real change together!
National Bar Conference Panel Update

I joined my fellow Iranian-American legislators from other states.
Reflecting on the panels from the 25th Anniversary National Summit of the Iranian-American Bar Association (“IABA”), I am reminded of both the progress and the ongoing work that lies ahead.
Participating in the summit was a moving experience, made all the more meaningful by the candor and camaraderie among attendees. The opportunity to learn from others’ stories and to connect with accomplished figures across our field brought into sharp focus how vital support, mentorship, and collaboration are to our collective advancement. Events like this affirm just how much strength there is to be found in community.
The summit renewed my commitment to civic leadership and reminded me of the privilege—and responsibility—we bear to ensure those coming after us encounter a more welcoming landscape.

Thanksgiving

Wishing everyone in our community a joyful holiday filled with gratitude, warmth, and togetherness. This season, let’s take a moment to reflect on our blessings and extend kindness to those around us. I’m thankful every day for the opportunity to serve as your Delegate and for the trust you place in me. Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!
How My Office Can Help
Navigating state agencies can be confusing and difficult at times. As the delegate for House District 27, I can help you communicate with state agencies such as the Virginia Employment Commission, Departments of Taxation, Social Services, Transportation and more! I can also submit inquiries with those agencies on your behalf. There are limits to what I can do, however. For example, I am unable to expedite cases or force state agencies to favor your inquiry, provide legal advice or recommend a specific attorney, intervene with judicial issues, overturn decisions, or be involved with matters between private businesses.
Whether you require my office’s assistance, want to bring an issue to my attention or invite me to a community event, please reach out here: https://atoosareaser.com/help/.
Alongside constituent services, I can submit drafts for commending and memorial resolutions. If you know of a person or organization in the district that deserves special recognition, please submit a request here: resolution request form.
